It’s no secret… I love me some green juice!
I find a little cup of green juice to be the perfect side with my breakfast in the morning and helps to get me energized for the day. This juice is packed with vitamins and minerals along with a healthy dose of antioxidants to protect our cells and nurture our bodies.
How does this recipe fit into a healthy diet? This juice is not a meal in and of itself but I love to pair it with a protein packed breakfast or snack.
Who might benefit from this recipe? Anyone who is trying to up the nutrient profile of their diet! I even give it to my 1 year old son in his sippy cup!
*Note: This juice is best consumed immediately. For maximum nutritional benefit, consume within an hour of making.

Ingredients:
(Try to use organic produce if possible)
6 Lacinato kale stems washed
1/2 head Romaine lettuce washed
3 green apples chopped
1 inch knob fresh ginger
1/2 large cucumber washed
1/2 lemon peeled
1/2 bunch parsley washed
Directions:
Juice all ingredients in juicer and enjoy!
*Juicing Tip! If you don’t have a juicer you can still juice! How? Put all the ingredients into a high powered blender and blend on high for a few minutes. Then strain through a cheese cloth to get rid of the pulp and enjoy!
